Springfield is located in the western part of Orangeburg County South Carolina. Springfield has been host to the Governor’s Frog Jump for over 50 years!
Springfield is a diverse community with a rich history. Places to visit include the old Springfield High School at 210 Brodie Street. Here you will find the Artisan’s Center, Auditorium & Stage, Meeting & Reception room, Visitors Welcome Center, and two museums — Springfield Regional Historic Museum and the Orangeburg County Military Museum. No admission fee. Rentals are available.
As well as hosting the Governor’s Frog Jump and the International Egg Strike each year on Easter weekend, the town also hosts many other events throughout the year listed in the Upcoming Events page.
